Pulsar Entertainment, LLC (“Pulsar Entertainment,” “we” or “us”) is the owner of the website located at (the “Site”), and any Pulsar Entertainment App (the “App”) that may be or become associated with the services described herein.  The Site and any App provide our users the ability to participate in an online community dedicated to producing, displaying, and enjoying comic books and other media (the “Service” or “Services”).  Reference is hereby made to the Terms of Use between Pulsar Entertainment and its Users, which is published on the Site. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is provided to give you information regarding the collection, use and disclosure of User information collected through the Site and any App, which can help to you decide whether to use the Services. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you must not use or access the Service. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Use by reference. Capitalized terms used but not defined herein shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Terms of Use.


The Information We Collect. Pulsar Entertainment collects information from its Users as described herein.


Registration. In order to become a Pulsar Member, you must register and maintain an account. To open the account, you will be required to provide certain personal information, including without limitation your name, age, and email address. You consent to us sending you communications regarding future information about our Services using the information you have provided to Pulsar Entertainment, even if you have listed your contact information on the federal Do Not Call registry. You may visit the Site without registering an account, but your access of the Service may be limited unless you decide to become a Pulsar Member.


Site and App Activity. Pulsar Entertainment logs and tracks your movement and activity through the Services, the Site and any App, via your IP address, for security and business purposes. The information collected may include where you click within our Site or any App, the duration of your visits to pages within the Site or any App, your usage and browsing habits, search terms, your browser, your mobile device, the internet address from which you came to the Site or any App, the operating system you used, the IP address used which may disclose the general location of your device, and other transactional information. Like many websites, Pulsar Entertainment uses “cookies,” “flash cookies,” “web beacons,” “embedded scripts,” or other similar technologies (“Tracking Technologies”) to enable us to tailor your experience of our Services. Our use of Tracking Technologies helps us present you with information that seems likelier to be relevant to you as you navigate the Site and any App. You can remove or disable cookies through your browser, should you choose to do so. You will be able to use the Site and any App if you have disabled cookies, however please note that some features of the Services may be limited. There may be certain third party applications on the Site or any App which use cookies to provide improved features and aspects of the Services to you, such as Adobe Flash Player. Pulsar Entertainment may also supplement the information it collects from its User’s use of the Services with information from third parties or collected offline, such as, for example, demographic information, additional contact information, group affiliations, or occupational information.


Use of Your Information. Pulsar Entertainment may use the information it learns from you to assist it to tailor and improve your experience of the Services. This information is helpful to us to analyze the way Users interact with our Services, to track statistics, to help us offer the Services with as few bugs as possible, and to help us gather demographic information about our Users. Advertisements may be directed to you as a result of the data collected. Pulsar Entertainment uses Tracking Technologies to analyze visitor activity versus Pulsar Member activity, to offer customized content, to better serve the interests of our Users, and to hopefully improve the User experience. We may also use the information we collect to administer your Pulsar Entertainment account or our contests. Visibility of Information Collected. Pulsar Entertainment does not disclose your personally identifiable information to third parties except as described below.


Associated Third Parties. We may have third parties who act as our agents, affiliates and partners and which perform functions on our behalf. These may include, for example, hosting, content management tools, social media integration, marketing, analytics, servicing of User accounts, and customer service. If reasonably necessary for the performance of their functions, these third parties may have access to information collected from you. Such third parties will be required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your personally identifiable information.


Partner Services. At times, Pulsar Entertainment may associate with like-minded companies whose services we believe would be relevant to our Users. We may share with those companies certain contact information, through a responsible manner. We hope that our Users find the connection to these companies beneficial, however, you can opt-out of such use by contacting us in writing at the contact information provided at the end of this Privacy Policy.


Successors and Assigns. In the event that Pulsar Entertainment undergoes a change of control, such as a sale, merger or bankruptcy, we may transfer personally identifiable information to a new party in control of the entity or the assets. Due to the nature of a change of control, we may not be able to promise that the successor in possession of the information will have the same policy as we do regarding the information we collect.


Legal Process. We may disclose your personally identifiable information if we are required by law to do so, or if we believe that such disclosure is necessary to ensure our compliance with applicable law. We may also disclose your information in order to protect our rights or to prevent activity inconsistent with the Terms of Use, or to promote the safety of our staff, our affiliates, other Users, or the public.


Disclosure of Information We Collect Which Does Not Identify You. As for non-personally identifiable information that we collect, we may disclose that information in the aggregate or otherwise to third parties for use in improving our Services and our relationships with partners, affiliates, and our agents.


What You Can Do. While you cannot opt-out of all data collection when you use our Services, you can limit the collection and use of personally identifying information. You can usually modify your browser settings to disable or reject certain Tracking Technologies, such as cookies. Note that if you delete your cookies or your browser declines cookies, you may not be able to access certain aspects of the Services. Your mobile device may also offer settings that work to disable certain Tracking Technologies. You may remove your information from our database to the extent you do not wish to receive future promotional communications, or to close your account, by writing to us at our contact information listed at the end of this Privacy Policy. Please allow a reasonable period of time for requests to be honored and requested changes to take effect. Note, also, that we are not responsible for notifying third parties of your choice to opt-out of any such collection activity if we have already shared information with that party pursuant to this Privacy Policy.


Additional Disclosures.


Other Sites. We do not control the privacy policies of sites of other companies which may be linked to us through the Site or any Apps.  Please be aware that these third party sites have their own privacy policies which may differ from ours.


Security. The information we collect is protected by technology consistent with industry standards, however, please be aware that no technology can fully guaranty that your information will be completely protected from unauthorized access. You assume this risk when you use the Services, the Site and any App.


Domestic and International Issues. The Services, Site and any App are hosted in the United States. Accessing the Services from another country means that you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States for processing and maintenance, and for use according to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. You expressly consent to the Terms of Use, including without limitation the choice of law and choice of venue provisions therein.


Age Issues. As stated in the Terms of Use, the Services, Site and any App of Pulsar Entertainment are not intended for children who are under the age of 13 years old. If you are under the age of 13 years old, you must not use the Services, Site or any App. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from persons who are under the age of 13 years old, and should we become aware of such a person registering an account with our Service, we will promptly terminate the account and remove personally identifiable information associated with the account.


California Privacy Rights. Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents may ask Pulsar Entertainment for a notice describing which categories of personal customer information we share with third parties or corporate affiliates for those third parties or corporate affiliates’ direct marketing purposes. The notice will identify the categories of information shared and will include a list of the third parties and affiliates with which it was shared, along with their names and addresses.
